This walk is slightly unusual for this site, in that it is on the Lleyn Peninsula as opposed to being in the high mountains of Snowdonia. Because of this the weather may be good here when it is raining in the mountains.

Start at some parking off a minor road in the village of Llithfaen and make your way around the coastal path (quite high above the sea at 300m) which contours round Garn Ganol, the highest top of Yr Eifl. Eventually you will reach a pass with a path and a set of steps up to your left which lead up to Garn For. It is worth taking time to ascend these and make your way around the fenced off buildings to the summit for views across the peninsula. Return to the bwlch and head straight up steep ground which becomes slightly rocky at times to reach the high point of Garn Ganol with views across to Snowdonia.

A slightly indistinct track to the SE leads to an old wall and an old fort. You may want to take some time looking at this as you make your way up to the final top (Tre'r Ceiri). The descent from here is to follow the path you came up on, and then to contour back around Garn Ganol until your car is once again in sight.
