The range has 11 peaks over 600m, none of which are over 914m (3000 ft). The main access point to the mountains is on the A4085 between Rhyd Ddu and Beddgelert. All of our routes will begin here, although one will finish in a different place, and will need transport both ends.

There is a regular bus service from Caernarfon to Beddgelert, and in Summer months the Snowdon Sherpa may also be useful. There is now also a train which runs from Caernarfon to Ffestinog.

The range is quite varied. There is an easy walk up Mynydd Mawr, which should not be too difficult in poor conditions, then there is the Nantlle ridge, which is long walk, and is exposed in some places. It covers 7 of the 11 peaks in the range in one walk, and includes excellent views which are best seen on a good day. Finally there is a route over Moel Hebog. This is a moderate length walk which again has good views.

As usual variations on the walks, and how to cut them short will be given, hence you can do part of the Nantlle walk and cut off early to return to Rhyd Ddu. Each route description includes a rough idea of time, a description of the route and its difficulty. There are also photos taken on the walks.
